Setup for <t>3D</t> elastic wave simulation <t>in</t> <t>COMSOL.</t> The elastic waves were excited at the top (orange semidisk) and recorded using a grid with cylinder symmetry (blue points). Symmetry planes (yellow) and absorbing layers (purple) were used to reduce the simulation size. The green line shows the measurement method to follow the propagation of the modes along a specific direction. The inset table gives the values of the parameters used. The Lab/Comsol coordinate frame is shown at the bottom. Inset shows the frequency spectrum of the x 3 -components of the propagating wave in fused silica for two distances from the center.
